Defensive Cover

Something Villa have a complete lack of. Our defenders are dropping like flys at the moment, and its showing at the moment in the league table as we have the 2nd worst defensive record in the Premiership (only West Brom have shipped more goals than us). Current casualties are

• Delaney (although he's almost fully fit)
• Samuel (In my opinion a blessing in disguise)
• Laursen (Out for the whole season)
• Cahill (Rookie has a 4 month layoff)

So once again our small squad is being stretched to its limits, and the latest rumour is that Robert Huth could be playing for the claret and blue in january. I say latest, but what I mean is latest time the press have decided to point it out. Its been on the cards for ages really, and with the world cup coming up in the summer, i'm sure Huth would jump at the chance of first team football.
He's meant to be a free-kick specialist too, although i've seen him take a few against us and other clubs. He's good at hitting row-Z.
