Further BBC Rant

Perhaps I should spend more time writing about the team I follow rather than proceeding to pluck my nasal hairs without the use of tweezers (Is it a natural reaction to sneeze?)

O well – we have a new member to the team who has posted his first entry – Peck. You see I still have to rant about the BBC – and in particular MOTD – that program along with the rest of the BBC (especially the weather girls) are London oriented.

“Look at the weather today – it’s beautiful (It’s pissing it down across the rest of the country)” and STILL Villa are one of the last on MOTD – what’s a team to do to get a prime slot?

I hate Sam – but why vindicate against a north(of Watford)ern club? Surely the big deal was Chelsea – and that poor kid that played for Middlesborough? – but lets skim that – Even though Chelsea had been done for “tapping up” before.

Oh – and surprise surprise Harry Redknapp’s guilty of taking bungs – Well of course he is! How do you think Portsmouth rebuilt their squad so quickly?

Why didn’t the BBC name and shame anyone else? – There was probably money involved!

Rant over.

The Randy Man can

So it is half time and the boys are 1 -0 through a aby goal which sounds like a good one. All of this under the nose of the Randy Man. Things are going well.

But do we get excited? Do we get carried away?

Why not?

News is filtering in that we are going to get the development the training ground requires and that this will be complete for the start of next season. I have been watching Score this afternoon. Yeah I know that it is a home game but it should calm your nerves that I am watching score on my tv card whilst working (9-4). Well the BBC pundits did something today which they have not done for 12 months. They said

ASTON VILLA ARE PLAYING LIKE A SUCCESSFUL TEAM

Read it again

It shows how far we have come in 6 games. We should get carried away, we should get excited, we should get behind the team and go with the flow, lets enjoy the journey and lets see where it takes us. If it takes us to mid table then great we have enjoyed it. We hopefully will have seen enjoyable football exciting football and if with that we only finish mid table then it is a step in the right direction. If we finish better than that and move towards the top 6 then even better.
