I remember a few seasons a go - we were the draw masters, but this run has seen us drop several places down the league - to be next to Newcastle - relegation players just a few weeks ago - so what has happened?

I think that it's the realisation from the players on the pitch that their job is safe for another few months, as the board are struggling to attract quality players - we need to scare them into action again -- any ideas anyone?

Oh, and no - I don't want to shout "boo" over the tanoy system!

Nostalgia central

Anyone remember Gary Charles? He was our right-back during our purple patch in the mid 90's before he broke his leg in several places.

He was in the news a few years ago for defacating in the back of his car, surrounded by loads of money, and it seems he just can't stay out of the headlines.

This week the former villa star is a guest of her majesty's prisons as he spends 12 months behind bars for threatening assault on a bar man. Apparently already had a suspended sentence for assualt, which meant there was only going to be one choice.

Apparently, the former England man also has alcohol problems, but is sorting himself out.
